"Robot Ethics" is not an oxymoron

Abstract:Robots are changing the way we live, work, and interact with one another. It’s important to consider the ethical implications of new technologies before they are implemented, if we want to insure that they work to the good of society.A university professor of philosophy of media and technology is just the right specialist to address the ethical issues that robots spur. Mark Coeckelbergh, from the University of Vienna, and contributor to STI’s Technology and the Good Society experts meeting, discusses them in this interview, on the heels of a UNESCO session titled “Robots: Ethical or Unethical?”
